The AGRODEP Training Course on Applied Microeconometrics will be held from October 1-3 in Dakar, Senegal. This course will cover an extensive range of up-to-date statistical and econometric techniques to analyze microeconomic data, including a variety of microeconometric methods available in Stata: linear regression, instrumental-variables estimation, nonlinear models for binary, multinomial, and censored models, estimation of average treatment effects, simulation and bootstrapping, and duration analysis. Participants will learn how to analyze microeconomic data by applying different econometric techniques using the popular specialized software. The course will be taught by Manuel Hernandez of IFPRI.
To participate in the course, AGRODEP members need to complete all three portions of an online Stata proficiency test by August 28, as well as submit the online application form by the same date. Members who may need a refresher on various aspects of Stata can find training modules here.
