Friends of AGRODEP

Since its inception, AGRODEP has successfully promoted access to state-of-the-art economic tools, facilitated increased access to datasets, and supported and encouraged collaboration among African researchers and their peers outside of Africa. Membership has consistently increased since 2010, but the successful implementation of AGRODEP activities has also relied, and will continue to rely, on the collaboration and participation of individuals and institutions outside the AGRODEP network. Their support and contributions to AGRODEP are formally recognized through the Friend of AGRODEP Plan. Friends of AGRODEP is a group of non-AGRODEP members who provide valuable contributions to the Consortium by sharing data and economic models, engaging in high-quality training and mentoring of AGRODEP members, and reviewing members’ publications.

A Friend of AGRODEP is an individual or institution that contributes to the network’s activities but that is not currently an AGRODEP member or Affiliate member. Such contributions take several forms, including but not limited to:

• Documented databases and models;
• Proposed training courses;
• Instruction and participation in capacity-strengthening activities;
• Mentorship of AGRODEP members;
• Review of members’ proposals, reports, and publications;
• Collaboration with members in various research or publication activities.
