I am happy to be among members of AGRODEP who participated in the just concluded 2013 AGRODEP annual meeting in Dakar (November 19-20, 2013). The organizers of the meeting did well in impacting knowledge, logistics, feeding and decent accommodation. I further appreciate AGRODEP - a consortium God has given Africa at this time, that is assisting not only in training Africa researchers but also providing funds for research projects, funding members to present their papers at international conferences, payment of publication’s fees for it members and award of excellence for its members who have published in highly ranked journals so as to encourage them to do more. From several papers and project proposals presented at the meeting, I have gained a lot on new ways of carrying out research through the wealth of experience of AGRODEP experts that were in attendance at the meeting. My thanks go to all the members of AGRODEP staff ably led by Antoine Bouet; AGRODEP Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) led by Bernard Decaluwé and Maximo Torero; AGRODEP Steering Committee (SC) led by Ousmane Badiane; AGRODEP Network Advisory Committee (NAC) led by Greenwell Matchaya for their valuable comments. Betina Dimaranan and Alimatou Diop did a wonderful job in terms of logistics. Other co-members of AGRODEP are also appreciated for their constructive comments.
