The International Conference on ICT4Ag will be held in Kigali, Rwanda from November 4-8, 2013. The conference will discuss how to establish a dynamic and enabling environment in which ICTs (information communication technologies) for agriculture (farming, fisheries, and livestock) can flourish and will focus on topics such as ICTs and value chains, advocacy and policy development, and assessing the impact of ICTs.

The 2013 AGRODEP training on Impact Evaluation and Analysis of Development Interventions (Part 1) was indeed a rewarding and refreshing experience. I learnt the various methodologies in estimating the impact of a policy or interventions. The training exposed me to new opportunity and when to apply the various tools. UNU-WIDER has extended its deadline for the submission of abstracts for its development conference in September 2013. The 2013 conference will focus on promoting more inclusive growth throughout Africa, including North Africa.
