I sincerely appreciate AGRODEP and IFPRI giving me the privilege to participate in the recently concluded training on impact of high food prices on household welfare. The opportunity has contributed immensely to building my research capacity. It also afforded me the privilege to revise and update my knowledge on theoretical underpinnings and analytical framework on the household welfare analysis. Indeed, it re-sharpened my cutting edge in welfare economics (both theoretical and analytical frameworks). In particular, I learnt how to run the QUAIDS model using STATA commands. These were made possible through the painstaking, relentless and noble efforts of Miguel Robles. His ability to connect with us and his talent at teaching welfare theory and analytical framework are both truly superior. Alima and the entire AGRODEP team were warm, impressive and did wonderfully well in making our stay in Dakar memorable. Thank you and God bless you all.
