Romanus Osabohien

Dr. Romanus Osabohien is a Lecturer at the Department of Economics and Development Studies, Covenant University, Nigeria, where he obtained his MSc and PhD Degrees. He is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Energy Policy and Research (IEPRe), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia, and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy and Development Research (CEPDeR), Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria. He is also a Research Associate at the DePECOS Institutions and Development Research Centre (DIaDeRC), Nigeria.

He has executed funded projects both individually and collaboratively. Some of them include a Research Linkage Programme between Covenant University, Nigeria, and Witten/Herdecke University, Germany, on "Enhancing Capacity to Apply Research Evidence (CARE) in Policy for Youth Engagement in Agribusiness and Rural Economic Activities in Africa."

Dr. Osabohien has co-edited two books, notably COVID-19 in the African Continent: Sustainable Development and Socioeconomic Shocks and Socioeconomic Shocks and Africa's Development Agenda: Lessons and Policy Directions in a Post-COVID-19 Era. He has authored over 100 scholarly articles and serves as reviewer and editorial board member for rated journals such as Elsevier (Heliyon) Business and Economics. He is listed among the top 3% of researchers in Nigeria by Elsevier SciVal and AD Scientific Index 2023.
