Dr. Oluwafemi Zacchaeus Olaniyi obtained a Bachelor of Technology from the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, in 2003. He obtained his MSc degree at the Department of Agricultural Economics, University of Ibadan, in 2010 and his PhD in the same Department and institution in 2022. He has a keen interest in agricultural productivity, welfare economics, quantitative analysis, and other issues related to economic development policies.
He is a Lecturer and researcher and has published over 30 Journal articles and conference proceedings in local and international publications. He has participated in a series of local and international research initiatives in collaboration with other senior scientists. As a Lecturer, he has supervised over 10 students.
Also, Dr. Oluwafemi is a member of professional bodies and learned societies, which include the National Association of Agricultural Economists (NAAE), Farm Management Association of Nigeria (FAMAN), African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE), Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD), African Science Frontiers Initiatives (ASFI), International Society of Tropical Foresters (ISTF) Nigeria Chapter and African Growth and Development Policy (AGRODEP) among others.
Moreover, to complement his dream as a passionate farmer, Oluwafemi is the Chief Executive Officer of Unique Multi-Agribusiness Ventures, and his passion for farming has prompted his regular attendance of training related to modern farming strategies both at local and international organizations. Also, Oluwafemi has been a vanguard of youths' development through his advocacy and strategies that encourage youths' participation in the farming business.
