Njagi, Tim

Dr. Tim Njagi holds a PhD in Development Economics and a Master's in International Development from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Japan. He is also a member of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE), African Association of Agricultural Economics (AAAE), African Evaluation Association (AfREA), Evaluation Society of Kenya (ESK), and the Institute of Economic Affairs (EIA) in Kenya.


He joined the Tegemeo Institute of Agricultural Policy and Development in 2013 as a Research Fellow from the National Treasury and Ministry of Planning, where he was a senior Economist, managing rural public sector projects and leading in rural development planning. As a Research Fellow, he coordinates research projects, leads analytical pieces, fundraising for research, and manages research grants. His current research focuses on agricultural transformation and analysis of governance, policy, and investment opportunities that can unlock transformation.
