I wish to thank AGRODEP and IFPRI for the opportunity given to me to attend the training course on the "Estimation of the economic impact of high food prices using micro data". Specifically, I wish to thank our instructor, Miguel Robles, who taught us starting from the basics to the practicals using real life situations, and who also made me to appreciate more the importance of theory in any empirical study. Through the training, I have been equipped with the required skills needed to conduct researches in order to contribute to the debate on effective policies to mitigate the adverse effects of high food prices on the rural an urban poor. I thank my colleagues for the training too.
