CEGA's East Africa Social Science Translation (EASST) Collaborative is excited to announce the 2019 EASST Visiting Fellowship Application. EASST builds regional leadership in the generation of rigorous, policy-relevant social science research in East Africa, and supports research collaborations between East African and US academics. EASST invites East African researchers to apply for a semester-long fellowship (sabbatical) at UC Berkeley to build skills in rigorous social science research and impact evaluation, to be completed during Fall 2019 or Spring 2020.
To be eligible, residents must be residents of an East African country (Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, South Sudan, or Uganda) and hold a staff or student position at a research institution, university, or other organization headquartred in East Africa. Applicants must already have a PhD or be working towards a PhD, except in the case that they are directly referred by an EASST fellow. Researchers from quantitative social science disciplines are encourages to apply.
The application deadline is: 11:59 U.S. Pacific Time on Friday, March 1st 2019.
