UNU-WIDER has extended its deadline for the submission of abstracts for its development conference in September 2013. The 2013 conference will focus on promoting more inclusive growth throughout Africa, including North Africa. The conference aims to encourage dialogue between and among researchers and policy makers from the academic, government and international development communities. The new deadline is April 5, 2013.
UNU-WIDER invites interested participants to submit original research related to the two conference themes: measuring growth, poverty, and inequality; and causes and consequences of inclusive growth. For accepted participants, UNU-WIDER will cover accommodation and meals. Travel expenses to and from Helsinki may also be covered for some participants, with preference given to those from developing countries. There is no conference fee. Papers accepted for presentation at the conference will also be considered for publication as part of the UNU-WIDER Working Paper series.
