Tefera, Girum Abebe

Dr. Girum Tefera is a citizen of Ethiopia. He has been an AGRODEP member since June, 2015. At the present, Girum is a Researcher at the Ethiopian Development Research Institute (EDRI). In this position, Girum Conduct research on industrial development and labor market. Before joining Ethiopian Development Research Institute (EDRI), Girum worked for . He holds a BA in from , a MA in from , and a Ph.D. in from . He is specialized in Development Economics. He is interested in <p>Girum Abebe is a researcher at the Ethiopian Development Research Institute (EDRI). His main research interests are the applications of field experiments in development economics to study the constraints that face enterprises in developing countries. He has been actively engaged in field experiment designs, particularly in the implementations and impact evaluations of business and management skills training to young entrepreneurs and the impact evaluation of job search assistance schemes to young unemployed job-seekers. He has also been working on the issue of the mechanisms firms employ to learn new knowledge from technology leaders at home as well as from abroad, and the roles human capital and agglomerations economies play in the learning process.</p>
