Dr. Maurice J. Ogada holds a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from Kenyatta University, Kenya. He has also undergone specialized training in impact evaluation from Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) at the University of Cape Town. As an experienced Policy Analyst, Dr. Ogada has previously worked with the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).
He has accumulated a wealth of experience in process and impact evaluation, having consulted for diverse research and development organizations, including the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), Climate Change and Food Security (CCAFS) Program of CGIAR, The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Africa Union Commission (AUC), Intergovernmental Authority for Development (IGAD), The Government of Kenya, Self Help Africa (SHA), Land O'Lakes International, among others. Currently, He is a Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics and the Coordinator of the Centre of Excellence for Mining, Environmental Engineering and Resource Management (CEMEREM) at Taita Taveta University.
