"Uganda’s health concerns include a low life expectancy rate of 53 years of age, and an extremely high child mortality rate of 128 per 1 000 live births. Residents have a per capita daily caloric intake of 2 247, and 20 percent of children are undernourished and underweight, while 32 percent are undernourished with stunted growth. Of the 34 million over all population, 6.1 million, or 21 percent of Ugandans, suffer undernourishment."
