Sarah Edewor

Dr. Sarah Edore Edewor holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics specializing in Food Marketing and International Trade from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria. She is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research and an Independent Agricultural Consultant. Her research focuses on international trade patterns, climate change, land tenure, and its impact on welfare through a gender lens.


Dr. Edewor is a Fellow of the Structural Transformation of African and Asian Agriculture and Rural Spaces program (STAAARS+) of Cornell University USA and an African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) One Planet Laureate Candidate. She has been a consultant to Climate Check Corporation, Canada, the Global Program Green Innovation Centre, and the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC). She is multidisciplinary research-oriented with proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis. Her vision is to see the number of people living below the poverty line reduce substantially, especially in Africa, where traditional farming systems, poverty, and food insecurity remain predominantly high.
