Pascal Nyabinwa

Dr. Pascal Nyabinwa is a Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) staff with 13 years of experience in animal resources research and extension. In 2003, he successfully obtained a grant from the Rwanda Government Excellence Scholarship for a full Doctorate in Veterinary Sciences and Medicine degree (DVM) at Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar-Inter-States School of Veterinary Sciences and Medicine (EISMV)-Dakar (Senegal), where he obtained his DVM degree in 2009. Dr. Nyabinwa also holds a PhD in Animal Science/Livestock Production Systems from the Faculty of Agriculture of Egerton University (Kenya).

He is the author or co-author of several articles published in peer-reviewed journals, Practice Briefs, and books. He has worked with Rwanda's Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources (MINAGRI) and the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) as a bovine genetic improvement specialist, focusing on cattle reproduction. He also served as the National Coordinator of the One Cow per Poor Family (Girinka) program. Additionally, he has been a part-time Assistant Lecturer at several universities, including UR-CAVM (Busogo Campus), the University of Technology and Arts of Byumba, and Mount Kenya University. Dr. Nyabinwa serves as reviewer of different peer-reviewed journals: Veterinary Medicine International/Hindawi, Journal of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Health, and International Journal of General Practice.
