AGRODEP is pleased to announce its seventh round of membership extension. For this particular call, we strongly encourage applications from researchers who are engaged in or are strongly interested in learning more about trade policy analysis, value chain analysis, or agricultural transformation and investments. We also strongly encourage women and researchers from African countries which have low or zero representation in AGRODEP to apply. To be considered for membership, applicants must meet the following criteria:
-
Must be a citizen of an African country
-
Must be based in Africa
-
Must have obtained a Ph.D. within the last 15 years, currently be pursuing a Ph.D. degree, or possess a Master’s degree in combination with technical skills and experience.
Other factors considered in the selection process are the level and nature of applicants’ technical skills as well as publications.
Currently, AGRODEP brings together 181 researchers from 27 different countries of Africa. The Consortium provides its members with free access to cutting-edge economic research tools, data, and training as well as opportunities to apply for competitive research grants. In addition, AGRODEP members become part of a large network of researchers and experts from Africa and beyond.
You can apply online by completing either the English version or the French version of the application form. You will need to enter dates of previous employment and education as well as detailed items such as publications, so be sure to have these on hand before you start the application. Once you start the application, you must complete it in its entirety otherwise your information may be lost.
Please complete the application by November 30. AGRODEP will review applications and notify successful applicants by December 29, 2017.
