The AATM 2025 report explores trends in African agrifood trade, including intra-African trade, the continent’s participation in global trade, insights into the composition of trade flows, and the trade-food security nexus. The publication also focuses on the rice value chain and fertilizer trade, and assesses how the AfCFTA is reshaping trade among regional economic communities (RECs) and driving continental integration. The annual flagship report is produced and published under the AGRODEP and ReSAKSS programs, as a collaborative effort by AKADEMIYA2063 and IFPRI. This 8th edition was launched during a Dakar/hybrid event organized in partnership with AGRA.
