The third training video focuses on the collection of data for the Women's Empowerment in Agriculture Index (WEAI). It provides insights on sampling and best practices in survey design and implementation.
The training videos were recorded during the 2016 AGRODEP Training Course on Tools for Value Chain Analysis held in March 28 - April 1, 2016 in Dakar, Senegal. The training course was attended by twelve members of the AGRODEP Value Chain Analysis group. Support was provided by the CGIAR Research Program on Policies, Institutions, and Markets (PIM) under the Value Chain Analysis Virtual Hub project.

Lesson 10 introduces users to the programming of Mixed Complementarity Problems (MCPs) where a program consists of inequality constraints that are complementary to one another. This final lesson of the AGRODEP GAMS training assumes familiarity with economic modeling. The model presented here is similar to the model in Lesson 8. In this lesson, however, it assumes a minimum wage that could be binding and therefore includes possible unemployment in the model solution. GAMS code in this lesson is partially based on the McCarl GAMS User Guide.
