Publisher
AGRODEP

Lesson 8 moves from syntax to application by focusing on general equilibrium modeling. This lesson uses a simple Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) model developed by Antoine Bouet of the International Food Policy Research Institute and introduces the economic theory behind this model. Next, the lesson describes the general GAMS structure of a CGE model, including calibration, model definition, parameter initialization, and solution. Basic economic modeling knowledge is assumed in this lesson.
